Last updated: April 2026
Speakifi ("we," "our," or "us") is a product of Humanity Media Inc., based in San Diego, California. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Speakifi application and website at speakifi.com.
By using Speakifi, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the service.
1. Information we collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Your name, email address, and password when you create an account.
- Brand and channel data: The brands you configure, their associated voice settings, and the social media and email accounts you connect to Speakifi.
- Messages and communications: When you connect a channel (such as Instagram, Facebook, Gmail, or YouTube), Speakifi accesses messages, comments, and direct messages from those platforms solely to display them in your unified inbox. We do not sell or share this message content with third parties.
- Authentication tokens: OAuth tokens required to access your connected accounts. These are stored encrypted and used only to retrieve and send messages on your behalf.
- Usage data: How you use the application, including which features you access and actions you take, used to improve the product.
- Waitlist data: If you join our waitlist, we store your email address to notify you when Speakifi becomes available.
2. How we use your information
- To operate and deliver the Speakifi service, including fetching and displaying messages from your connected channels.
- To generate AI-assisted draft responses using the brand voice settings you configure. Draft generation uses the Claude API by Anthropic; message content is transmitted to Anthropic's API solely for this purpose.
- To authenticate with third-party platforms (Meta, Google, Twilio, etc.) on your behalf using stored OAuth credentials.
- To send you product updates, account notices, and service communications.
- To improve, debug, and develop Speakifi's features.
3. Third-party platforms and APIs
Speakifi integrates with the following third-party services. Your use of these integrations is also subject to their respective privacy policies:
- Meta (Facebook and Instagram): We access Instagram messages, comments, Facebook Page messages, and Page comments via the Meta Graph API. We request only the permissions necessary to display and respond to messages within Speakifi. We do not store or process Meta user data beyond what is needed to operate the inbox. Meta Privacy Policy.
- Google (Gmail and YouTube): We access Gmail messages and YouTube comments via Google APIs. Our use of Google user data is limited to operating the inbox features described in this policy. Google Privacy Policy.
- Twilio: Used for SMS and WhatsApp Business message delivery. Twilio Privacy Policy.
- Anthropic (Claude API): Message content and brand voice settings are transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate draft responses. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models except as described in their usage policies. Anthropic Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services: Our application is hosted on AWS EC2 infrastructure. AWS Privacy Policy.
4. Data retention
We retain your account data and message history for as long as your account is active. When you disconnect a channel, we stop fetching new messages from that channel. When you delete your account, we delete your personal information, brand settings, and message data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
OAuth tokens for disconnected accounts are deleted immediately upon disconnection.
5. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. OAuth tokens and other credentials are stored encrypted at rest. Our servers are hosted on AWS and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
